BackWeb Technologies´ Priority Internet Communication Technology to be Used By ICG Communications´ Sales Force

SAN JOSE, Calif., — August 31, 1999 — BackWeb® Technologies (Nasdaq: BWEB), the leading provider of Internet Communications Applications for the extended enterprise, today announced its BackWeb Sales Accelerator Application suite has been chosen by ICG Communications (Nasdaq: ICGX) to deliver time-sensitive business critical information to its sales force and reseller partners. ICG Communications is a leading competitive telecommunications provider offering integrated communications solutions.
