U S WEST to Use BackWeb's Priority Internet Communication Technology to Expand the Portal Experience for ISP and High-Capacity Broadband Network Services

SAN JOSE, Calif. - June 2, 1999 - BackWeb® Technologies, a leading provider of Priority Internet communication infrastructure and applications software for the extended enterprise, today announced that U S WEST will use its Priority Internet communication technology to expand the portal experience for ISP and high-capacity broadband network services. U S WEST has signed a three-year license and service agreement with BackWeb to use its technology and technical expertise for a first-of-its kind, responsive portal experience, which U S WEST plans to unveil later this year.
