Erez Lorber Joins BackWeb as Vice President of Worldwide Business DevelopmentFormer CEO of HERMES SoftLab USA to Pursue Strategic Business Opportunities and AlliancesSAN JOSE, Calif. — April 26, 2000 — BackWeb® Technologies (Nasdaq: BWEB) a leading provider of push for e-business solutions, today announced that Erez Lorber, former president and CEO of HERMES SoftLab USA, Inc., has joined BackWeb as vice president of worldwide business development. Lorber brings more than a decade of business development, marketing and management experience to BackWeb. He is responsible for market development, in addition to forging strategic partnerships and alliances with leading high-technology organizations. While at HERMES SoftLab USA, Inc., a leading software house specializing in the storage, system management and telecommunications, Lorber also was a member of the HERMES board and the corporate senior management team. There he played a key role in the formation of the company's worldwide strategy.
