BackWeb Announces Partnership with Oblix, Inc

BackWeb ProactivePortal Server To Be Recommended Offline Portal Content Access Solution By Oblix

SAN JOSE, Calif.- March 12, 2002 - BackWeb Technologies (Nasdaq: BWEB), the leading provider of ProactivePortal™ technologies for the enterprise, today announced that it has signed a joint marketing partnership with Oblix, Inc., the leading provider of identity-based security solutions, to bring together the BackWeb® ProactivePortal Server™ offering with Oblix NetPoint™ web access and identity management solution.

Under the terms of the agreement, BackWeb and Oblix will jointly participate in Web-based and regional seminars, train their sales and support staffs about the new relationship, co-brand marketing collateral materials and create awareness and demand for the two companies' products and services. Through this relationship, Oblix will recommend BackWeb's products and services for offline content access and proactive notifications to its Global 2000 customer base.
