BackWeb provided an offline portal solution that allows field reps in the U.K. to access critical sales, marketing, regulatory, and product information while working offline. The solution also allows Boehringer Ingelheim to automate communications between headquarters and its remote/mobile users. Each time a user connects, that employee's offline portal is updated in the background using BackWeb's Polite Synchronization technology.
